I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name The Rixx Masterpiece Apartment@Vincom/Opera House, I thought it sounded a bit over the top. But you know what? After staying there, the “masterpiece” part actually isn’t too far off. This four-star spot sits right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1, and I mean literally steps away from the Opera House – you can practically hear the evening performances from some of the rooms (in a good way, not annoying).

What really got me was how they’ve managed to blend apartment-style living with proper hotel service. The space feels genuinely homey – I’m talking full kitchens with decent cookware, living areas where you can actually spread out and work, but then housekeeping still comes by daily if you want. The connection to Vincom Center is clutch too, especially during those afternoon downpours that seem to hit Ho Chi Minh City like clockwork. You can duck right into the shopping center without getting soaked, grab groceries, or just people-watch in the air conditioning. The apartments themselves are modern without being sterile, if that makes sense. Floor-to-ceiling windows in most units, and the higher floors give you these sprawling city views that honestly made my Instagram followers pretty jealous. What I appreciated most was the attention to details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two – proper lighting for reading, multiple outlets near the bed (thank god), and bathrooms with actual counter space. The building can get a bit busy during peak hours since it’s mixed-use with office spaces, but the elevator situation isn’t terrible. Just avoid the lunch rush around noon if you can. Location-wise, you’re a five-minute walk to Ben Thanh Market, easy grab for street food along Nguyen Hue Walking Street, and honestly, most of District 1’s main attractions are within walking distance. The staff seemed genuinely helpful too – not just going through the motions, but actually giving solid recommendations for local spots that weren’t obvious tourist traps.
