Zhome-2BR apartment in Kingdom101-District 10
I’ll be honest – when I first saw Zhome-2BR apartment in Kingdom101-District 10 listed online, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But after staying there last month, I get why they kept it simple. This four-star apartment really is just that: a proper home base in one of the most underrated parts of the city.
The location on Tô Hiến Thành Street is actually brilliant once you figure out the neighborhood. District 10 doesn’t get the tourist love that District 1 does, but honestly? That’s what makes it special. You’re walking distance from some incredible local eateries – there’s this bánh mì spot two blocks down that I still dream about – and the whole area has this authentic vibe where you’ll hear more Vietnamese than English on the streets. The Kingdom101 building itself is modern without being flashy, and I mean that in the best way. No marble lobbies or over-the-top chandeliers, just clean lines and everything working exactly as it should.
What really sold me on the place was how thoughtfully set up the apartment is. The two bedrooms are actually spacious enough that you don’t feel like you’re bumping into each other constantly, and whoever designed the kitchen clearly cooks themselves – there’s proper counter space and real knives, not those flimsy things you usually get in short-term rentals. The living area opens up nicely, and you know what impressed me most? The Wi-Fi actually works consistently throughout the whole unit. I spent a few mornings working from the dining table with my coffee, watching the neighborhood wake up through the windows. There’s something calming about being in a residential area rather than right in the tourist chaos – you get glimpses of actual daily life in Ho Chi Minh City instead of just the sanitized version.
The building’s amenities are solid too, though I’ll admit I only used the gym once (it was perfectly fine, just small). The real win is having a proper washing machine in the unit and a balcony where you can actually dry clothes – crucial in this humidity. Check-in was surprisingly smooth; they met me right at the apartment with keys and a quick walkthrough, no lobby desk drama. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you rent a motorbike, but honestly, that’s true everywhere in this part of town, and the building security keeps an eye on things. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything works, it’s genuinely comfortable, and you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than just passing through.
You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.
