HANZ Anh Duc Hotel
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to HANZ Anh Duc Hotel, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The name doesn’t immediately scream luxury, but you know what they say about judging books by their covers. This four-star property actually surprised me in the best way possible, and that 8.4 rating it’s got? Yeah, I can see why.
The lobby hits you with this clean, modern vibe that feels intentional without being sterile – there’s this nice balance of marble and warm wood that somehow works. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually want to help rather than just going through the motions. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend arriving after 3 PM because I saw a few people waiting around earlier in the day when housekeeping was still catching up. The elevators are surprisingly quick, which might sound like a weird detail to mention, but trust me, after a long travel day, these little things matter.
The rooms themselves are where this place really shines. Mine had this fantastic floor-to-ceiling window situation that made the space feel twice as big, and the bed – honestly, I’ve stayed at places charging twice as much with beds half as comfortable. The bathroom was spotless with good water pressure (again, small details that make or break a stay), though the shower door has this quirky way of not quite closing completely that you’ll figure out after day one. What really impressed me was the attention to practical stuff – plenty of outlets near the bed, a work desk that’s actually usable if you need to get things done, and blackout curtains that really work. The air conditioning runs a bit loud at first, but you stop noticing it pretty quickly.
The breakfast spread was better than I expected for a hotel this size – fresh fruit, decent coffee, and they actually make eggs to order rather than leaving them sitting under heat lamps getting rubbery. I mean, it’s not going to win any culinary awards, but it’ll definitely fuel you for the day ahead. The dining area gets pretty busy between 7:30 and 9 AM, so if you’re not a morning person anyway, you might want to sleep in and grab something later. There’s also this little business center tucked away near the lobby that’s actually useful – good internet, a printer that works, and it’s quiet enough to make calls without background chatter.
What really sealed the deal for me was how the place just felt… comfortable. Not trying too hard to be trendy, not cutting corners to save money, just solid and reliable. The housekeeping staff pays attention to details – fresh towels actually smell fresh, they don’t just throw your stuff around when they’re cleaning, and they’re quick to respond if you need extra anything. Parking is straightforward and included, which is becoming rarer these days, and the location gives you easy access without being right in the middle of all the noise and chaos. It’s the kind of place where you can get a genuinely good night’s sleep and wake up ready for whatever you’ve got planned, which honestly, isn’t that what you really want from a hotel?
