Ha Đo Centrosa Building , Ba Thang Hai street, distrist 10
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Ha Đo Centrosa Building , Ba Thang Hai street, distrist 10, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name’s a bit of a mouthful, and District 10 isn’t exactly where most tourists end up on their first trip to Ho Chi Minh City. But you know what? That’s actually part of what makes this place special.
This four-star spot sits right on 3 Tháng 2 Street (that’s March 2nd Street for those still getting used to Vietnamese addresses), and honestly, the location surprised me in the best way. You’re away from the tourist chaos of District 1, but not so far that you feel disconnected – I mean, a quick taxi or Grab ride gets you to Ben Thanh Market or the Independence Palace in maybe 15 minutes, depending on traffic. What I really loved though was walking around the neighborhood in the evenings. There’s this authentic local vibe here that you just don’t get when you’re staying near all the backpacker spots. You’ll find proper Vietnamese coffee shops where locals actually hang out, not the Instagram-ready places that charge double.
The building itself has that modern Vietnamese business hotel feel – clean lines, lots of glass, pretty impressive when you’re walking up. Check-in was smooth (they had my reservation sorted even though my Vietnamese pronunciation of the hotel name was… well, let’s just say it needed work). The rooms are genuinely nice though, with that crisp, contemporary setup that actually feels comfortable rather than trying too hard to be trendy. Air conditioning works like a dream, which honestly becomes your best friend during those humid Ho Chi Minh afternoons. I stayed on a higher floor and could see across the district – not exactly a postcard view, but there’s something satisfying about watching the city go about its real business below. The rating of 9 out of 10 from other guests makes perfect sense once you’ve been there. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything just works well. The staff genuinely seem to care about getting things right, and I noticed they remember little details – like how you take your coffee or whether you prefer a quieter room. Parking‘s available if you’re brave enough to drive in Vietnamese traffic (though I’d honestly recommend sticking with taxis), and the whole area feels safe for walking around, even later in the evening. District 10 has this working neighborhood energy that I found pretty addictive – you’re staying somewhere real rather than in a tourist bubble.
