Sunrise City – 1 Bed Room – Full Furniture – City View
I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Sunrise City – 1 Bed Room – Full Furniture – City View, I thought it sounded a bit corporate, but this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked away in District 7, right on Nguyễn Hữu Thọ street, and you know what? The location is pretty brilliant if you want to experience Ho Chi Minh City without being right in the chaotic heart of it all.
The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room – I mean, the furniture is proper furniture, not those flimsy hotel pieces that wobble when you touch them. The city view they promise is legit too; from the windows, you can see the sprawling cityscape stretching out toward the river, and honestly, it’s especially gorgeous during sunset (hence the name, I guess). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – District 7 has this residential vibe that lets you actually sleep, unlike some places in District 1 where motorbikes seem to rev all night long. The four-star rating feels about right; it’s comfortable and well-maintained without being fancy to the point of intimidation.
Here’s what locals know that most tourists don’t – you’re actually in one of the newer, more planned districts of the city, so everything feels a bit more organized than the beautiful chaos of the older areas. There’s a decent coffee shop about a five-minute walk down Nguyễn Hữu Thọ where the locals hang out (not touristy at all), and you can grab a taxi or Grab to anywhere in the city pretty easily from here. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you stay here – it’s one of those places where the small details work properly. The air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter, the WiFi actually handles video calls, and the shower has real water pressure. I’ve stayed in supposedly fancier places that couldn’t get these basics right. The only minor thing is that you’ll want to stock up on snacks and drinks beforehand since it’s more of a residential area – though honestly, that’s part of what makes it feel authentic rather than like you’re staying in some tourist bubble.
Best hotels in Ho Chi Minh City range from luxurious high-rise properties in District 1 to boutique hotels in historic French Quarter and elegant accommodations overlooking the Saigon River and Ben Thanh Market.
