Saigon CBD Apartment – Infinity Pool
I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Saigon CBD Apartment – Infinity Pool, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The whole apartment-hotel thing can be hit or miss, you know? But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked away on Đường Bến Vân Đồn in District 4, which honestly isn’t where most tourists end up, but that’s part of what makes it interesting. You’re right in the middle of real Ho Chi Minh City life – street food vendors setting up their plastic stools by 6 AM, the constant hum of motorbikes, and locals going about their daily routines without the tourist bubble feeling you get in District 1.
The apartment itself feels more like staying in a friend’s really nice place than a hotel room. I mean, there’s a full kitchen (actually useful if you want to grab some dragon fruit from the market downstairs), decent-sized living area, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable – sometimes these four-star apartment setups skimp on the mattress, but not here. The real star though is obviously that infinity pool. It’s not massive, but when you’re floating there in the evening watching the city lights come on, it feels pretty perfect. The water temperature stays nice year-round, which is a blessing during hot season – and trust me, April through August gets brutal. I spent way more time up there than I planned, especially around sunset when the whole city sort of glows orange.
What really won me over was the practical stuff that nobody talks about until it goes wrong. The Wi-Fi actually works (tested it on video calls with zero issues), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and the water pressure in the shower is solid – honestly better than some expensive hotels I’ve stayed at in Saigon. The building’s pretty quiet too, considering you’re in the middle of a bustling neighborhood. I was worried about noise from the street, but the windows do a decent job blocking it out. Check-in was smooth – the staff speaks good English and they’re genuinely helpful, not just going through the motions. They’ll help you figure out the best route to wherever you’re headed, and they know which xe om drivers nearby are reliable. District 4 connects easily to everywhere else via bridge or quick Grab ride, so you’re not stuck out here if you want to hit the tourist spots or nightlife areas. But honestly, after a few days, I found myself preferring this slice of authentic Saigon life over the sanitized expat areas. There’s something satisfying about ending your day in that pool, looking out over a neighborhood where real life is happening below.
