Overview
When I first walked into Oasis Central – Soho CBD Apartment, I’ll be honest – I wasn’t sure what to expect from an apartment-style place in District 1. But this four-star gem completely changed my perspective on staying in Ho Chi Minh City’s bustling center. The location on Cô Giang Street puts you right in the thick of things, and I mean that in the best way possible. You’re literally steps away from the Ben Thanh Market chaos (which you’ll either love or need to escape from), but somehow the building itself feels like a quiet sanctuary above all the motorbike madness.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to create this modern, almost minimalist vibe while keeping things practical for longer stays. The apartment I stayed in had this gorgeous city view – honestly, watching Ho Chi Minh City wake up from the window with my morning coffee became my daily ritual. The kitchen actually works (you know how hotel kitchenettes can be pretty useless), and there’s proper counter space if you want to grab some fresh ingredients from the market downstairs. The air conditioning is powerful enough to handle the Vietnamese heat, which… trust me, you’ll appreciate that around 2 PM when the humidity hits. I also loved that they’ve got a washing machine – after a few days of street food adventures and walking through the city, being able to do laundry felt like such a luxury.
The building itself has this sleek, contemporary design that feels refreshingly clean compared to some of the older hotels in the area. What surprised me most was how quiet it gets at night, despite being surrounded by the constant hum of District 1. The staff really knows their stuff too – they gave me specific recommendations for pho places that weren’t tourist traps and actually drew me a little map to navigate the narrow alleys nearby. You’re within walking distance of the Saigon Opera House and all those fancy rooftop bars, but you can also just wander down to the street level and find incredible bánh mì for like a dollar. The whole experience feels less like staying in a hotel and more like temporarily living in the city, which honestly made me extend my stay an extra three days.

"A family-friendly stay in Saigon"
I stayed with my wife and 5-year-old son for 4 nights. The host provided a small extra mattress and helped us arrange transportation from the airport. The space was safe and clean. We liked that it was within walking distance of parks and a bakery our son loved. The apartment had all the basics we needed and more—hot water, fast internet, a washing machine, and good AC. The host was responsive when we couldn’t figure out the TV. Everything got sorted quickly. Great family trip overall!

"Felt like home!"
The apartment was cozy with a soft bed, an air purifier, and ambient lighting. I appreciated the full-length mirror, strong A/C, and well-lit bathroom. The host even included an umbrella and a reusable shopping bag. Great stay from check-in to check-out. The elevator was slow during peak hours, but everything went smoothly.

"Amazing place to stay for first-timers"
The bed was cozy, the sheets were fresh, and even a laundry pod included 🧺—Netflix and a strong AC made for great lazy evenings after hours of sightseeing. There was not much afternoontime. The sunlight might bother some, but I didn’t mind it.

"Nice apartment, lovely host"
Stable wifi, enough for surfing the web and watching YouTube. Quick check-in, no long wait. Clean bathroom, good shower, hot water. Elevator works well, card access so feel secure. There are a few bakeries and cafes near the apartment, convenient for breakfast. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral early in the morning, less crowded and easy to take pictures.

"Comfort and convenience combined."
The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The building felt secure, and we appreciated the 24/7 security presence.
What could be improved: The fridge made some noise at night, which might bother light sleepers.

"Feels Like a Local’s Home"
It feels like someone’s home, and I mean that in the best way. It’s warm, functional, and filled with thoughtful touches. There was even a mini toolkit in the drawer, which I didn’t use but found amusing. The host put effort into making the stay easy and pleasant. It made my trip to Saigon a lot more enjoyable.

"Simple, Safe, and Sound"
I travel often for work and usually stay in hotels, but this apartment felt more personal. The host was proactive, sending details and tips before I even arrived. I had a smooth check-in, and everything was ready for me. I appreciated the quiet space to wind down each evening. One funny moment: I tried to cook instant noodles and accidentally spilled chili sauce everywhere—thankfully there were cleaning supplies handy! Would stay again.
