Walking in, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name – it sounds more like someone’s actual home than a hotel, which turned out to be pretty much the point. The owner (I’m assuming MM?) has clearly put thought into every corner. There’s this lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake – real books on the shelves, art that looks like it was chosen because someone loved it, not because it matched the color scheme. The rooms have character too, each one feeling distinct rather than cookie-cutter. Mine had these gorgeous wooden floors that creaked just slightly when you walked across them in the morning, and honestly? It added to the charm rather than being annoying.

What really sold me though was the attention to detail that you only notice when you’ve stayed in a lot of places. The coffee situation was spot-on – not just some basic instant stuff, but actually good beans and a proper setup. Check-in was smooth without being overly formal, and the staff seemed to genuinely know their stuff about the local area. I asked about a decent spot for dinner that wasn’t too touristy, and instead of handing me a generic brochure, I got actual recommendations with specific dishes to try. That kind of local knowledge makes such a difference when you’re somewhere new. The whole place runs quietly too – no slamming doors or elevator dings at all hours, which tells me they’ve thought about the guest experience beyond just the obvious stuff.
