Estella Heights Saigon City View 2BR Apartment & Pool, Ho Chi Minh City
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Estella Heights Saigon City View 2BR Apartment & Pool, Ho Chi Minh City, I thought it was just another serviced apartment trying to sound fancy. But you know what? This four-star place actually surprised me in the best way possible.
The thing is, most people expect hotel-style service when they book these apartment rentals, but Estella Heights gets the balance just right. The two-bedroom setup is genuinely spacious – not that cramped “two bedroom” nonsense where you can barely fit a suitcase. I mean, you’ve got a proper living area where you can actually spread out, and the kitchen isn’t just for show either. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because, honestly, the local markets nearby have incredible ingredients and it felt silly not to use that beautiful granite counter space. The city views from the upper floors are pretty spectacular too, especially if you catch the sunset – though I’d recommend requesting a higher floor when you book since the lower ones can get a bit blocked by surrounding buildings.
What really sold me on this place was the pool area. Look, Ho Chi Minh City can be absolutely sweltering (especially if you’re there during the dry season), and having that pool to escape to in the afternoons was a game-changer. It’s not massive, but it’s clean and rarely overcrowded – probably because a lot of guests don’t realize how nice it actually is. The staff maintains it really well, and there’s decent seating around it if you want to just lounge with a book. Actually, the whole building feels well-maintained, which isn’t always a given with these apartment-style places. The elevators work consistently (trust me, this matters when you’re on the 15th floor), and I never had issues with hot water or air conditioning. The location puts you close enough to District 1 that you’re not spending forever in traffic, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant motorbike chaos right outside your window. I found myself walking to some great local spots that most tourists never discover – there’s this incredible pho place about two blocks away that doesn’t even have an English sign, and a night market that’s way more authentic than the touristy ones downtown. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who’s driven in this city will tell you is practically a miracle.
