Entire 6BRs house in Saigon Centre by Gon De Home
When I first walked into Entire 6BRs house in Saigon Centre by Gon De Home, honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect – I mean, finding a proper house rental right in the heart of District 1 seemed almost too good to be true. But there it was, this surprisingly spacious six-bedroom place tucked away on Trần Hưng Đạo street, just close enough to all the action but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually get some sleep at night. The location is what really sold me, though – you’re literally a five-minute walk from Ben Thanh Market (prepare for the sensory overload), and I could smell the street food wafting up from the sidewalk vendors below most evenings around dinner time.
What struck me most about this four-star property was how it managed to feel like an actual home rather than just another sterile rental. The six bedrooms are spread out nicely, so if you’re traveling with a group – which, let’s be honest, is probably the only way this makes financial sense – people aren’t stepping on each other’s toes. I stayed there during the rainy season last year, and you know what? Having that much indoor space was a lifesaver when the afternoon downpours hit. The living areas have this lived-in comfort that you don’t usually find in Ho Chi Minh City accommodations, plus there’s actually decent air conditioning throughout, which is absolutely crucial if you’re not used to the humidity here. The kitchen is properly equipped too, though I’ll be honest – with all the incredible food literally steps from your door, I barely used it except for morning coffee and storing late-night bánh mì purchases. One thing that really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being right in District 1; the building seems well-insulated from the constant motorbike symphony outside.
The whole setup works brilliantly if you want that authentic neighborhood experience without sacrificing comfort – I’d wake up to the sounds of the local market vendors setting up their stalls, grab some phở from the place around the corner (the owner remembers your usual order after about three visits), and still be at the Reunification Palace or Notre-Dame Cathedral within fifteen minutes of walking. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too, no standing around in a hotel lobby with your luggage while tour groups shuffle past. Actually, that’s probably what I appreciated most about the whole experience – it felt like I was staying in someone’s actual home in the city rather than just passing through another accommodation. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty during peak evening hours, but honestly, that just gave me more reason to explore the neighborhood instead of staying glued to my phone.
You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.
