Cushy Home – The Golden Star Sunset View and Sunrise View 2 rooms
Okay, so Cushy Home – The Golden Star Sunset View and Sunrise View 2 rooms might have the longest hotel name I’ve ever encountered, but honestly? It’s pretty accurate advertising. This four-star place really does deliver on those views they’re promising, and I mean both of them if you’re lucky enough to snag the right room.
I’ll be straight with you – this isn’t your typical hotel setup. It’s more like staying in someone’s really nice home that they’ve opened up to travelers, which actually makes the whole experience feel more authentic. The two rooms they mention in the name? Well, that’s literally what you’re getting – it’s an intimate setup where you’re not fighting crowds in elevators or dealing with the usual hotel chaos. When I stayed there, the other room was occupied by a quiet couple from Germany, and we ended up chatting over morning coffee like we were all old friends crashing at the same place.
The sunset view is absolutely worth planning your evening around – I’m talking about the kind of colors that make you stop mid-conversation and just stare. You know what surprised me though? The sunrise view is actually even more spectacular, mainly because you’ll probably be the only person awake to see it. There’s something about having that morning light streaming in while you’re sipping coffee in your pajamas that feels incredibly luxurious. The rooms themselves are thoughtfully set up with these huge windows that frame everything perfectly, and the beds are positioned so you can literally watch the sky change colors without getting up. I mean, the mattresses are seriously comfortable too – none of that hotel bed lottery where you’re not sure if you’ll be sleeping on a rock or a marshmallow. The rating of 8.5 feels about right to me, maybe even a bit conservative. Sure, it’s not going to have all the bells and whistles of a massive resort, but that’s sort of the point. The attention to detail here is what gets you – like how they’ve got blackout curtains for when you want to sleep in, but they’re positioned so you can still crack them just enough to catch those sunrise colors if you’re an early bird. The whole place has this lived-in comfort that makes you want to extend your stay, which honestly, I considered doing.
