Anna Premier Apartment Ho Chi Minh 2
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Anna Premier Apartment Ho Chi Minh 2, I wasn’t sure what to expect from an apartment-style hotel tucked away in Binh Thanh district. But after staying there twice now, I can tell you this four-star place has become one of my go-to recommendations for anyone who wants to experience Ho Chi Minh City like more than just a tourist.
The location on Vạn Kiếp street is actually pretty brilliant once you figure it out. You’re not in the chaos of District 1, which honestly can be overwhelming after a few days, but you’re close enough that a quick Grab ride gets you to Ben Thanh Market or the Independence Palace in about fifteen minutes. What I really love though is that you’re walking distance to some incredible local spots – there’s this bánh mì place just around the corner that locals line up for every morning around 7 AM, and the coffee situation nearby is just ridiculous in the best way possible. The apartment-style setup means you get a proper kitchenette, which is clutch when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the nearby wet market and actually cook something instead of eating out for every single meal.
The rooms themselves feel more like staying in a friend’s well-appointed apartment than a typical hotel room. I mean, you’ve got space to actually unpack and spread out, decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out during video calls (trust me, I’ve tested this extensively), and the air conditioning that actually works – no small feat in Vietnam’s humidity. The staff has this relaxed professionalism that I appreciate; they’re helpful without being hovering, and most speak solid English mixed with just enough Vietnamese to help you practice if you’re trying to learn. One thing that surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re still very much in the city. The building seems well-insulated, and by 10 PM it’s peaceful enough that you can actually sleep with the windows cracked open if you want to save on AC costs.
What really sets this place apart is how it bridges that gap between local living and tourist comfort. You’re staying in a neighborhood where people actually live and work, not just a hotel bubble, but you still get daily housekeeping and a front desk that can help with tour bookings or taxi calls. The 8.7 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it absolutely nails what it’s going for. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the elevators are actually reliable, which after staying in some older buildings around the city, you learn not to take for granted. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to feel settled rather than just passing through, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights, this spot really delivers on that front.
You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.
