You know what caught me off guard about Ductaigallery’s Apt& Pool-Good view? The name honestly doesn’t do it justice – I was expecting some quirky little place, but this four-star spot actually delivers on sophistication in ways I wasn’t prepared for. The pool area is where this place really shines, and I mean that literally – the way the light hits the water in the late afternoon creates this almost gallery-like atmosphere (okay, maybe the name makes sense after all). I spent way more time poolside than I planned, partly because the view they promise is legit, but also because there’s something about the whole setup that just makes you want to linger.
The apartment-style accommodation thing works really well here – you get that residential feel without sacrificing the service you’d expect from a place with a 9.2 rating. I appreciated having actual counter space and a proper fridge, especially since I tend to collect too many local snacks and need somewhere to stash them. The rooms have this clean, modern vibe that photographs well (trust me, I took plenty of shots from that view), but it’s not sterile – there are thoughtful touches that suggest someone actually considered how people live in a space, not just how they sleep in one. The lighting is particularly well done; you can actually read by the windows during the day without squinting, and the evening ambiance doesn’t rely on those harsh overhead fixtures that make everyone look terrible.
What really sold me on the place, though, was how quiet it stays despite being well-positioned. I’m someone who notices every little sound when I’m trying to sleep, but the soundproofing here is solid – you’re not dealing with hallway conversations at midnight or street noise bleeding through thin walls. The pool area can get a bit social during peak hours, which is either a plus or minus depending on your mood, but it settles down nicely in the evenings. Check-in was surprisingly smooth for what I’d assumed would be more of a boutique operation – they’ve got their systems figured out, and the staff clearly knows what they’re doing. I’d honestly come back, which is saying something since I usually prefer trying new places. Sometimes you find a spot that just gets the balance right between comfort and character, and this one nails it.
