The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know the area. You’re walking distance from the backpacker district but far enough away that you won’t hear drunk Australians singing at 3 AM – trust me on this one. The street itself has this great mix of local coffee shops and those tiny convenience stores where the owners will remember your face after two visits. I particularly loved that there’s a bánh mì cart that sets up right at the corner most mornings, and the owner makes this incredible pork version that’s become my benchmark for the entire city. The studio itself feels more like crashing at a friend’s place than staying in a hotel, which some people love and others… well, don’t expect marble lobbies and uniformed staff.

What really works here is the attention to practical details that bigger hotels often mess up. The air conditioning actually cools the space (not always a given in Vietnam), the wifi reaches every corner of the room, and there’s enough counter space in the kitchenette to actually spread out your stuff. The shower has proper water pressure too – I know that sounds mundane, but after a day of walking around in 90-degree heat and humidity, it matters. The building itself is one of those narrow Vietnamese structures, so you’ll hear some street noise during the day, but it quiets down surprisingly well at night. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy forms or upselling attempts, just keys and genuine recommendations for nearby restaurants. I’d say this place works best for travelers who want to feel somewhat settled rather than just passing through, and who appreciate being in a real neighborhood instead of a tourist bubble.
