But it doesn’t feel cold or intimidating like some of these newer developments can. The staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing, and check-in was surprisingly smooth for a place this size. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels where the fancy exterior doesn’t match the service, but they’ve got their act together here.

I stayed during what seemed like a busy period, but the soundproofing held up well – no complaints about noise from neighboring rooms or the street below. The whole building feels solid in that way that makes you sleep better, if that makes sense. Honestly, with an 8.1 rating, you’re looking at a place that consistently delivers on the fundamentals while still feeling like you’re treating yourself to something special.
