The lobby actually feels like someone’s home rather than a sterile hotel space. There’s this lived-in warmth that’s pretty rare these days, with worn leather chairs that look like they’ve hosted countless conversations and bookshelves filled with actual books people have obviously read.

What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their guests – not in that forced “we’ve memorized your name” way, but more like they actually cared about whether you found that little café they recommended yesterday. The rooms themselves are honestly quite charming in an understated way. I mean, you’re not getting marble bathrooms or fancy turndown service, but everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered from a hotel supply catalog. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the windows actually open – something I’ve started to appreciate more after staying in too many sealed glass boxes. I found myself lingering longer than usual, partly because the morning light hits the dining area just right, and partly because you end up chatting with other guests naturally.
