I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Tin Tin Apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a place tucked away on Đường Số 16 in District 2. You know how these numbered streets can feel a bit anonymous sometimes? But this four-star spot completely surprised me in the best way possible. The moment you walk in, there’s this immediately welcoming vibe that feels more like staying at a friend’s really well-appointed place than some sterile hotel room. The staff actually remembers your name after day one, which honestly doesn’t happen much anymore.
What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between local authenticity and genuine comfort. District 2 has this fascinating energy – it’s where a lot of expats live alongside Vietnamese families, so you get this interesting mix of international cafés and traditional street food stalls within walking distance. The apartment itself feels spacious (I mean, really spacious compared to what you typically get in Ho Chi Minh City), and the kitchen setup is actually functional if you want to grab some fresh ingredients from the nearby markets. The balcony views aren’t going to win any Instagram contests, but there’s something nice about watching the neighborhood come alive in the mornings with motorbikes and coffee vendors setting up shop.
Here’s what I really appreciate – the location puts you close enough to the action without the constant noise that can drive you crazy in District 1. You can actually sleep with the windows open, which is saying something. The Thu Duc area has been developing rapidly, so you’ve got decent shopping and dining options nearby, plus it’s pretty straightforward to grab a taxi or Grab to the city center when you want that downtown energy. The building itself is well-maintained, the elevators work consistently (trust me, this matters), and I never had issues with hot water or air conditioning. Sometimes it’s the basic stuff that makes or breaks a stay, you know? With a 9.5 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after spending time there, I can see why guests keep coming back. It’s one of those places where you feel settled rather than just passing through.

What could be improved: The room needs to be ventilated when not in use, otherwise there may be some odor. It would be even better if you could also provide some toothpaste, toothbrush and other supplies

The location is great. Easy to walk to An Phu, Thao Dien is not far, and getting to the metro is a short walk away. Very quiet and peaceful, and great Wifi.

Very nice modern apartment, and most importantly quiet. I slept very well. I also want to note that the pillows were orthopedic, the sheets were soft and had a pleasant smell.
What could be improved: Due to the constant rain, there was a little bit of lack of solar energy to heat the water, but that's not a big deal.

Our landlord is a wonderful person. Whenever we sent a message, he responded to us quickly. He tried to help us when we made a request. You can communicate with him easily because he speaks fluent English. Cleaning is done twice a week. The cleaning staff is friendly and reliable. It's a quiet neighborhood but close to markets and cafes. There are all kinds of plates, forks, glasses, washing machines, etc. in the house. All items are new and in good condition. We would only stay here for 10 days. Then we realized that it had been 1 month 😂 Now we have made a reservation for 2 more months!
What could be improved: There is a bus stop very close to home that goes to districts such as Q1, and Q3. There are buses that go to many different places. Buses come every 20-30 minutes. However, the stop is opposite the highway when you want to return home from the center. It is impossible and very dangerous to cross the street on foot. However, you can call a car/motorbike from the 'Grab' and get home safely for around 1 dollar. We rented a motorbike and got rid of the problem. The metro will be opened in April 2024, very close to home. So this little problem will not happen in the future.

The location is good and easy to reach, Received an upgrade, Parking was convenient for our car, Late check out was accepted without any extra charges upon advance request.
