The Radisson Landmark – Vinhomes Central Park
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to The Radisson Landmark – Vinhomes Central Park, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this relatively new addition to the city’s hotel scene. But walking into that sleek lobby, with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing views of the Saigon River, I immediately got why this place has been generating buzz among travelers who know Ho Chi Minh City well.
What really struck me about this four-star property is how it manages to feel both polished and genuinely welcoming – which honestly isn’t always easy to pull off in a city where hospitality can sometimes feel a bit scripted. The staff here actually seems to know the neighborhood, and I mean really know it. When I asked about getting to the Ben Thanh Market without dealing with crazy traffic, the concierge didn’t just point me toward a taxi – he walked me through the exact route using the pedestrian bridge system and mentioned which entrance has the shortest lines in the morning. That’s the kind of local insight you don’t get everywhere.
The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from Radisson – clean lines, comfortable beds, and those little touches that make you feel settled rather than just passing through. But here’s what I really appreciated: the soundproofing is actually decent. Điện Biên Phủ can get pretty lively, especially with all the construction happening around Vinhomes Central Park, but I slept well most nights. The river views from the higher floors are genuinely spectacular too, particularly around sunset when the whole city starts lighting up. I spent way too many evenings just sitting by that window with a coffee from their lobby café. Speaking of which – their Vietnamese coffee is legit, not the watered-down version you sometimes get in international hotels. The pool area up top is a nice escape when the heat gets overwhelming, though it can get crowded on weekends when local families are around. You know what though? I kind of liked that energy – it felt more connected to the actual rhythm of the city rather than being stuck in some tourist bubble. The location really works if you want to explore beyond the typical backpacker trail but still have easy access to District 1 when you need it.
