I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to The Plus Metropole Apartment Cental City Nice View on Nguyễn Thiện Thành street, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But you know what? Sometimes the places with the most straightforward names end up surprising you the most. This four-star spot sits right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, and while it might not have the flashiest lobby you’ve ever seen, there’s something genuinely comfortable about the whole setup that grew on me pretty quickly.
The apartment-style rooms are what really set this place apart – I mean, having actual space to spread out after weeks of cramped hotel boxes was honestly refreshing. The kitchenette isn’t just for show either; I actually used it a few times, which was perfect since the Ben Thanh Market is literally a ten-minute walk away and you can grab fresh ingredients without the tourist markup. The “Nice View” part of the name isn’t just wishful thinking, by the way. From the higher floors, you get these surprisingly decent glimpses of the city sprawl, especially around sunset when the motorbike chaos below starts to calm down just a tiny bit. The AC works well (crucial in this humidity), and the beds are firm enough that you won’t wake up feeling like you wrestled with a marshmallow all night.
What I appreciated most was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood – not just the obvious tourist spots, but where to find good pho at 6 AM or which pharmacy stays open late. The building itself sits on a side street that’s busy enough to feel safe but not so hectic that you can’t sleep with the windows cracked. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving, though honestly, in this part of the city you’re better off just embracing the Grab life anyway. The 7.5 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but everything works the way it should, the location puts you within walking distance of both the backpacker area and the business district, and the apartment setup means you can actually live a bit instead of just sleeping somewhere. For the price point, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights, it’s one of those places that just makes sense.

The location was a new complex of offices and apartments, with food outlets etc around. Safe and comfortable area. It’s actually not a hotel, but the apartments are let to visitors. The apartment is fully equipped and very nice, just outside district 1.
What could be improved: Due to the letting of apartments to non residents, tourist in effect it proved impossible to access the Gym, swimming pool, sauna area. Access was only allowing by face recognition, I enquired about this in the lobby and was told by the receptionist it’s use is for long term residents only. I believe this letting of apartments in tower blocks for tourists is on the increase in Ho Chi Minh. Be aware of this, as there was a notice in the reception area about this practice going on…..

"Excellent value for money stay"
- Spacious, clean and with modern fixtures, fittings and appliances.
- Access to wide infinity pool with jacuzzi section and sauna.
- Beautiful view of the river and buildings across the river.
- In an area away from busy traffic so was nice and quiet.
- Very good price.
What could be improved: - The couches/lounges were “artsy” and looked nice but were very hard and uncomfortable.
- Only told after booking confirmation that we can’t flush toilet paper down the toilet.
- No cleaning or garbage service offered despite the toilet paper rule and us booking for 5 nights.
- We needed a staff member to accompany us to the pool since it was for residents only. Although they didn’t complain, it felt awkward having to make someone wait while we used the facilities.

"Nice facilities away from the hustle and bustle"
pool was excellent
What could be improved: The first room we got was minimalist and honestly very strangely laid out. After reporting the aircon didn’t work, we got moved to an amazing room that was far more impressive.

"Nice place but not great value for price"
Big room, quiet area, felt safe
What could be improved: It’s very expensive for what you’re getting. It’s not central, you have to take a taxi to get anywhere (only about 5 min but it adds up) you have to give notice if you want to use gym and it’s only available few hours a day. It’s an apt building so there’s no staff. Feels more like the cost is just to cover the rent of a nice apt building

"Good nice relaxed place just outside the busy part"
The location is quite nice it’s not busy so you don’t have a lot of noise. The houses are also noise proof. The view is really nice and the host is also amazing!
If you want to stay in a bit more relaxed place this is it! A taxi to the busy part will only cost 2 euros
What could be improved: It was quite dusty and the bed was quite hard. For this money I just expected a little bit more?

"Good location, nice service. Would reccomend for couples and families."
Very nice pool, sauna and gym facilities. Close to the city , but not overly busy and loud. Room had nice features like smart TV's and aircon, washing machine/dryer.
What could be improved: Happy with the stay, however the toilet had sealant issues, leaking and causing a bad smell. Only one pool towel between two people for 4 nights, minimal TP, lots of ants present in the apartment, needs a deep clean. Slightly over priced for what's on offer.

"Great facilities but location not ideal for sightseeing"
Air con was great, apartment had everything needed, very comfy bed, great view from the 12th floor windows
What could be improved: It was in District 2 and getting to the main sights in District 1 required a taxi. The apartment is in a new development area of high rise commercial and residential properties so a bit bleak.

"Misleading and inconvenient stay"
It was in a quiet area not far from the city center. Easy to get a taxi from there.
What could be improved: The advertisement is misleading . Pool and gym of the apartment was not accessible. They told us that both were under maintenance(???) but I visited floor of the gym and I saw people training. You need to contact the staff 30 min in advance before using the facilities from the apartment across the road . This is due to face recognition of using the facilities. This was definitely inconvenience and if we knew this,we wouldn’t book the stay. Airconditioning in the bedroom makes a constant sound.

"Exceptional"
My family and I had really good stay in the apartment! The whole unit is very clean and the furniture is very new and modern. May was very helpful as well so will definitely recommend this place to the others and stay here again :)
