I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name The Metropole Apartment, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The word “apartment” had me wondering if this was going to be one of those sterile extended-stay situations, but wow, was I pleasantly surprised. This four-star property actually feels more like staying in a really well-appointed friend’s place, if that friend happened to have impeccable taste and a serious attention to detail.

What really struck me from the moment I walked in was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between hotel service and residential comfort. The spaces are generous – I mean genuinely spacious, not that “spacious” hotels always claim – and there’s this lived-in quality to the furnishings that makes you want to actually use them instead of just admire them from across the room. The kitchen setup is particularly thoughtful; they’ve stocked it with proper cookware, not those flimsy pans you usually find in hotel kitchenettes. I ended up making breakfast a few mornings just because I could, and honestly, it felt natural rather than like I was playing house. The lighting throughout is warm and layered – you know how some places blast you with those harsh overhead lights? None of that here. They’ve got table lamps and floor lamps creating these cozy pockets that make evening hours feel properly relaxing.

The Wi-Fi is properly fast, the water pressure is excellent, and the beds are that perfect medium-firm that doesn’t leave you tossing around all night. If I had to point out anything, the soundproofing between units could be a touch better – I occasionally heard neighbors, though nothing that really disrupted sleep. What I appreciate most is how this place feels like a real retreat rather than just a place to crash between activities. You can spread out, settle in, and actually enjoy being there.
