The elevator ride alone gives you this weird butterfly feeling as you shoot up to the residential floors, but honestly, that’s part of the charm of staying in what’s basically a vertical city in Ho Chi Minh City.

The location on Điện Biên Phủ is pretty brilliant if you ask me. You’re right in Binh Thanh district, which locals will tell you is where the city’s really growing – it’s got this energy that’s different from District 1’s tourist buzz. I actually loved being able to walk to Vincom Landmark 81 (it’s literally downstairs) when I needed anything, and the Saigon River views from the higher floors are something else entirely. The four-star setup here feels more like upscale serviced apartments than a traditional hotel, which worked perfectly for my longer stay – each room has a proper kitchenette and living area that doesn’t feel cramped.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed the whole “living in a skyscraper” thing. The staff actually knows the building inside and out (trust me, you’ll need directions at first), and they’re genuinely helpful about everything from the infinity pool on the 49th floor to which restaurants on the lower levels are worth your time. The pool, by the way – go at sunset if you can. It gets crowded on weekends with locals, but weekday evenings are magical. I mean, you’re floating above the entire city watching the Saigon River wind through the skyline. The rooms themselves have this clean, modern vibe without feeling sterile, though the bathrooms are definitely the highlight – marble everything and these deep soaking tubs that I probably used way too often. One small thing that bugged me was the air conditioning controls took some figuring out, and the elevators can get busy during peak hours since it’s a mixed-use building. But honestly, for the price point and that 8.2 rating it’s earned, you’re getting incredible value in a city where good accommodation can be hit or miss. If you’re someone who wants to feel like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through, this place nails it.
