What really impressed me was the attention to detail – the WiFi actually works consistently (crucial if you’re working remotely), the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a sore back, and the staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure everything was sorted. The check-in process was smooth, no weird hidden fees or surprise demands for cash deposits. I stayed during the rainy season and never had issues with flooding or power outages, which can be a real concern in this part of the city. District 7 isn’t exactly the backpacker trail, so you get a more authentic slice of how locals actually live while still having easy access to grab a taxi or Grab bike into the main tourist areas when you want them.
