This place actually surprised me in all the right ways. My room was on the eighth floor, and honestly, the view wasn’t spectacular, but the blackout curtains were absolutely perfect – I mean, total darkness when you need it. The bathroom shower pressure was legitimately impressive, which you know is always a gamble with hotels. I actually found myself looking forward to my morning routine, which says something. The beds are firm but not hard, and they’ve got this pillow menu thing that isn’t just for show – they actually brought up different options within twenty minutes.

The staff here operates with this quiet efficiency that I really appreciated. Check-in was seamless, no upselling nonsense, just straightforward service. The concierge team knows their stuff too – they directed me to a fantastic local coffee place three blocks over that I never would’ve found on my own. Breakfast runs until 10:30, which is civilized, and while it’s not groundbreaking, the coffee is strong and the pastries are clearly fresh. The fitness center is small but well-maintained, and it’s usually empty before 7 AM if you’re into that sort of thing. Parking is valet only, which adds about fifteen bucks to your daily tab, but the guys are fast and friendly. The location puts you within walking distance of some excellent restaurants – there’s this little Vietnamese place around the corner that locals actually frequent, not just tourists. With an 8.1 rating from guests, it’s clear I’m not the only one who thinks this place gets the fundamentals right without any unnecessary fuss.
