Walking into SCENIC VALLEY 1, you immediately get that feeling of stumbling onto something good that’s not trying too hard to impress. The neighborhood has this more residential feel, with actual sidewalks you can walk on (trust me, that’s not a given in HCMC). The soundproofing is decent too, which matters when you’re trying to escape the city noise.

I mean, the pho was actually better than what I had at some of the touristy places downtown. The staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you’re comfortable, and their English is good enough for real conversations, not just basic check-in stuff. There’s also parking available, which is honestly a miracle in this city if you’re planning to rent a motorbike.
