Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Roseland Sweet Hotel & Spa, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from the name alone. But this four-star place really surprised me in the best way possible. The moment you walk through those doors, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. The lobby has this warm, welcoming vibe that feels more like stepping into a friend’s really nice home than some sterile hotel chain.

What really got me was the spa situation – and I’m usually pretty skeptical about hotel spas, you know? They slapped “spa” in the name for a reason though. I ended up booking a massage on my second day (honestly, I was pretty beat from traveling), and the whole experience was genuinely relaxing. The treatment rooms are tucked away from the main hotel bustle, so you’re not hearing elevator dings or people rolling suitcases down the hallway. The staff there actually knows what they’re doing too, which isn’t always a given. I mean, I’ve been to places where the “spa” is basically just a room with a massage table and some generic music playing.

The rooms themselves are really well thought out – mine had this great reading nook by the window where I actually spent way too much time just people-watching and catching up on emails. The beds are properly comfortable (you know how hotel beds can be hit or miss), and I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with throw pillows that you have to relocate every night. Little things like having enough outlets near the desk and decent water pressure in the shower make such a difference when you’re trying to actually relax on a trip. The whole place maintains this 8.2 rating for good reason – it’s not trying to be the fanciest spot in town, but everything just works the way it should. Parking was straightforward too, which saved me the headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels thoughtfully run without all the pretentious nonsense, this place definitely delivers on that front.
