River Panorama Infinity Heights, Netflix
Look, when I first heard about River Panorama Infinity Heights, Netflix in District 7, I wasn’t sure what to expect – I mean, the name alone sounds like someone threw a bunch of trendy hotel terms into a blender. But honestly? This four-star place surprised me in the best way possible.
The thing about District 7 is that it’s kind of having this moment right now – you know how some neighborhoods just suddenly click? That’s what’s happening here. The hotel sits right along the Saigon River, and when you’re up on those higher floors (definitely worth requesting), you get these sweeping views that make you forget you’re in one of the busiest cities in Southeast Asia. The infinity pool – yeah, they actually have one – faces the water, and I spent way too many afternoons there just watching the river traffic go by. There’s something hypnotic about those little boats weaving between the bigger cargo ships. The Netflix thing in the name isn’t just for show either; every room has this decent smart TV setup where you can actually log into your own accounts, which sounds small but trust me, after a long day exploring Ho Chi Minh City, being able to collapse and watch something familiar hits different.
What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to get that most guests are probably venturing into the main city during the day. They’re super helpful with grab directions (the app works great here, by the way), and the lobby always has these detailed little maps marked up with recent recommendations – not just the obvious tourist spots, but like, which pho place actually opens early, or where to find decent coffee that isn’t tourist-priced. The rooms themselves are modern without being sterile, if that makes sense. Good air conditioning – crucial in this climate – and the bathrooms have proper water pressure, which you don’t always get even in nice places around here. I will say the walls could be a bit thicker; you might hear your neighbors if they’re having a particularly enthusiastic conversation, but it’s not terrible. The area gets pretty quiet at night anyway. District 7 isn’t where all the backpackers end up, so there’s this nice balance where you feel like you’re experiencing real city life without being completely overwhelmed. Plus, getting back from District 1 or the Ben Thanh Market area is pretty straightforward – about a 20-minute ride depending on traffic, which in this city means it could be 15 minutes or 45, but that’s just how it goes.
To book a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City during the dry season from December to April, travelers need early planning as this energetic city draws visitors eager to explore its rich history and world-famous street food scene.
