NeoVista Landmark Riverside Apartment
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into NeoVista Landmark Riverside Apartment, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another serviced apartment building on Điện Biên Phủ. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The location in District 1’s Bình Thạnh area puts you right in this interesting sweet spot where you’re close enough to the action but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night without motorbikes honking outside your window at 2 AM.
The apartment I stayed in was genuinely spacious – I mean, we’re talking about a proper living room where you can spread out, not one of those cramped hotel rooms where your suitcase becomes a permanent floor fixture. The kitchen was actually functional too, which is rare for serviced apartments in Ho Chi Minh City. I ended up cooking breakfast a few times because, honestly, the local bánh mì gets old after a while (though there’s an incredible vendor just two blocks down on Điện Biên Phủ if you’re into that). The four-star rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be the Park Hyatt, but everything works properly and the staff actually remembers your name after the second day. The air conditioning is powerful enough to handle the humidity, which… trust me, in March and April, that’s absolutely crucial.
What really sold me on this place was the riverside aspect – and I don’t mean some distant glimpse of water through smog. You’re actually close enough to the Saigon River that you can take evening walks along the embankment, which becomes this lovely local scene around sunset with families and couples just hanging out. The building itself is modern without being soulless, and the Wi-Fi is solid throughout (I worked from the living room most days without any issues). Parking can be a bit tight if you’re renting a motorbike, but there’s always space if you don’t mind walking an extra block. The only minor complaint I’d have is that the walls aren’t super thick, so if you get unlucky with neighbors who like late-night karaoke sessions, well… you’ll know about it. But that’s pretty standard for most places in the city anyway. The value here is really in having your own space with proper amenities while being positioned perfectly to explore both the traditional markets in District 1 and the newer developments across the river. It’s the kind of place where you can actually live for a week or two, not just crash between tourist activities.
You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.
