Modern, fully equipped and stunning city view 2BR Apt, 5m to PMH
I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name Modern, fully equipped and stunning city view 2BR Apt, 5m to PMH, I thought it was one of those overly descriptive Airbnb listings that promise the world. But you know what? This four-star place actually delivers on every single word of that lengthy title.
The location is absolutely perfect if you need to be near Princess Margaret Hospital (that’s what PMH stands for, in case you were wondering like I was). I mean, five minutes is no exaggeration – I timed it walking at a normal pace, and it’s literally just around the corner. What struck me immediately when I walked in was how the floor-to-ceiling windows frame the city skyline in this almost cinematic way. The view changes throughout the day too, which sounds cheesy but it’s true – morning light hits the buildings differently than the golden hour stuff you get in the evening. The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there and cares about the details. The kitchen has proper knives (you know how rare that is in rentals), the coffee machine isn’t some ancient thing that barely works, and there’s actually decent cookware if you’re planning to make more than instant noodles. Both bedrooms are genuinely spacious – not just “spacious for a city apartment” but actually roomy enough that you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around.
What really impressed me was the thoughtfulness throughout the place. There’s blackout curtains in both bedrooms (essential if you’re dealing with jet lag), the wifi actually works at the speeds they advertise, and the building itself is quiet despite being right in the thick of things. I stayed during a pretty busy week in the city, and honestly, you’d never know there was so much happening outside once you closed the door. The building has secure entry, which gave me peace of mind, and the elevator – well, it’s not the fastest thing in the world, but it beats walking up several flights after a long day exploring. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, though I’d recommend asking about the best spots when you check in because the street signs in that area can be a bit confusing if you’re not familiar with the neighborhood. The whole experience felt more like staying at a friend’s really nice place than some sterile hotel room, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to actually relax and recharge.
