Overview
You know what caught me off guard about M Village Tú Xương? I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place, but this little gem completely changed my perspective on what mid-range accommodations can offer. The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here – and I mean the kind of details that most hotels just phone in.
The staff genuinely seems happy to see you, which sounds like such a small thing until you’ve stayed at places where check-in feels like a chore for everyone involved. They took time to explain the neighborhood, pointed out a fantastic local coffee spot just around the corner that I never would’ve found on my own, and actually remembered my name the next morning. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully arranged – nothing fancy, but everything works properly, which is honestly more than I can say for some supposedly higher-end places I’ve stayed. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the air conditioning actually cooled the room without sounding like a jet engine all night.
What really impressed me was how they handle the little things that matter when you’re traveling. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the property, there’s always hot water (trust me, this isn’t a given everywhere), and housekeeping doesn’t wake you up at 7 AM banging on doors. The location puts you right in the mix of things without being on some crazy busy street where you can’t sleep. You can walk to plenty of local restaurants and shops, but you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise or crowds of tourists stumbling past your window at all hours. I actually enjoyed just sitting in their small lobby area in the evenings – it’s got this relaxed vibe where you might end up chatting with other travelers or locals who stop by. The whole place just feels authentic in a way that’s getting harder to find, especially at this price point. If you’re looking for somewhere that delivers solid comfort without any pretense, and where a 9.3 rating actually reflects the real experience rather than inflated expectations, this is definitely worth considering.

The staff was very friendly. I checked in during Vietnam Women's Day, so the hotel even gave me a delicate gift box, that was really sweet. During my stay, the staff contacted me through WhatsApp, and their response time was very fast. Since I didn't need housekeeping during the stay, I asked the staff to assist with trash collection one day. To my surprise, when I returned to the room that day, the room had still been tidied up. I was truly grateful.
Staying at M Village exceeded my expectations in terms of service. The overall value for money was excellent, and the room environment was very comfortable. The café on the ground floor was also great. I could easily get coffee every day during my stay, which was very convenient.
The hotel's location is very close to the attractions, within walking distance of the War Remnants Museum and the Tan Dinh Church. There are also supermarkets in the neighborhood, and there's also a gym within 5 minutes by walk, making it very convenient. District 1 is just a 10-minute drive away or within a 30-minute walk. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will stay again next time.
M village Tu Xuong is the best lodging in HCMC for me. It’s was like staying in a vintage villa 🧚🏼♂️
There is a super cool cafe shop next door with a beautiful garden🌿 ( has drinks discounts for M village’s guests)

The price is cheap compared to the location.
Exceptionally friendly staff, I accidentally booked a room for the next day and a man Hanh responded instantly and came to help even though it was late evening. The room was clean, modern, had a high ceiling so it felt spacious, the window overlooked the local garden, it was very quiet at night.
Fantastic stay - we had a great, spacious room which was really calming and relaxing to be in. Super comfy beds and I liked that the linen and towels were much nicer than the typical white hotel ones. Loved waking up to the leafy view. Staff were very welcoming and check in and luggage storage very handy. It was also great to have a fridge!
Walking distance to city centre. Quite quiet neighbourhood. Excelent beds; firm and stabilised. Spacious shower. Friendly staff. The laundry!

Quiet at night, excellent location - generally a very well run hotel with a nice atmosphere and a nice cafe attached.
Shared washing machines system seems to function quite well. Good value for money. Good communications with staff.
