Luxury 2 bedrooms Condo by Notre-Dame
Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around District 1, but Luxury 2 bedrooms Condo by Notre-Dame honestly caught me off guard in the best way possible. When you first walk into this four-star spot on Pasteur Street, it doesn’t feel like a typical hotel at all – and that’s exactly the point. You’re getting this spacious, genuinely homey apartment that actually makes you want to kick off your shoes and settle in for more than just a night or two.
The location is pretty brilliant, actually. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Notre-Dame Cathedral (hence the name, obviously), but what I really loved was how easy it made everything else. Dong Khoi Street’s shopping and cafes are right there, the Central Post Office is practically next door, and honestly, you can walk to most of the stuff tourists want to see without dealing with the crazy motorbike traffic that defines Ho Chi Minh City. The building itself sits on this quieter stretch of Pasteur – you know how some streets in District 1 never sleep? This one actually does, which meant I could open the windows at night without feeling like I was camping next to a highway.
What really sold me on the place was the space itself. Two proper bedrooms, a living area that doesn’t feel cramped, and a kitchen that’s actually functional – not just some mini-fridge situation with a hot plate. The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment than staying in a hotel, which can be exactly what you need after bouncing between tiny rooms in other cities. The air conditioning works properly (trust me, this matters more than you think in Vietnam’s heat), and there’s enough storage that you can actually unpack instead of living out of your suitcase. Small thing, but the wifi was solid throughout the entire unit – I was working from the living room one morning while my travel partner slept in, and it was seamless.
I’ll be honest though, don’t expect daily housekeeping or a concierge desk downstairs. This is more of a self-contained experience, which personally I prefer, but some people miss that hotel service element. The check-in process was smooth enough – they met us at the building and walked us through everything, including how to work the slightly finicky front door lock. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 9 PM, which is either perfect or boring depending on what you’re after. For me, after spending days wandering through the organized chaos of Ben Thanh Market and the backpacker mayhem of Bui Vien, coming back to this peaceful corner felt like a small luxury in itself. You’re close enough to dive into the madness whenever you want, but far enough removed that you can actually recharge between adventures.
Hotels near me in Ho Chi Minh City offer convenient access to major attractions, where guests can easily walk to Independence Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and world-renowned rooftop bars in the bustling city center.
