I could actually sleep at night without motorbikes revving outside my window until 2 AM. The four-star rating feels spot-on too – it’s polished and comfortable without trying too hard to be fancy.

The rooms are what you’d hope for but don’t always get in this price range. Good air conditioning that actually works (crucial in the humidity), blackout curtains that block out the neon signs, and a shower with decent water pressure. You know what I appreciated most? The little details – like having enough outlets near the bed and a minibar that wasn’t absurdly overpriced. The breakfast spread is solid, nothing revolutionary, but they do a proper Vietnamese pho alongside the usual international options, which saved me from hunting down street food before my morning meetings. Staff spoke excellent English and actually gave useful recommendations beyond the standard Ben Thanh Market suggestion. One front desk guy told me about this incredible com tam place around the corner that I never would have found otherwise.
