It sounds more like a real estate listing than a hotel, but you know what? Sometimes those are exactly the places that surprise you the most. This four-star property turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something the guidebooks haven’t caught up with yet.

The infinity pool is absolutely the star here, and I mean that literally – it’s right there in the name for a reason. When you’re floating in that water, especially around sunset, you get this incredible sense that you’re suspended between the sky and whatever view stretches out below. The whole Rivergate Residence complex has this modern, almost minimalist vibe that feels refreshingly different from the typical hotel experience. It’s more like staying in a friend’s really well-appointed apartment, if your friend happened to have impeccable taste and a serious budget for amenities. The space itself feels genuine – not that sterile hotel room sameness where every surface has been focus-grouped to death.

What really impressed me, though, was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between apartment-style independence and actual hotel service. You’ve got a proper kitchen if you want to grab groceries and cook something simple, but you’re not abandoned to figure everything out yourself. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing – that 9.5 rating doesn’t just happen by accident. I noticed they’re particularly good with the little things that can make or break a stay: the Wi-Fi actually works everywhere (even by the pool, which honestly surprised me), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, and someone clearly thought about lighting because you can actually read in bed without getting a headache.
