HOME TEA AN YEN
You know what really caught me off guard about HOME TEA AN YEN? The name had me expecting some sort of traditional tea house vibe, but when I walked in, it felt more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed apartment. It’s one of those three-star places that doesn’t try to be fancy – and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work so well.
The rooms have this understated comfort that I actually prefer over some of the flashier hotels I’ve stayed at. Clean lines, decent Wi-Fi (I tested it immediately, as you do), and the beds are surprisingly good for the price point. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting the little things right – my room was ready early when I arrived jet-lagged, and they actually remembered my name by the second day. There’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on being genuinely welcoming rather than just hitting you with a bunch of amenities you probably won’t use anyway.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed, even though there seemed to be decent foot traffic. The soundproofing is better than you’d expect, which meant I actually got proper sleep instead of listening to hallway conversations at 2 AM. The common areas have this lived-in feel – not worn down, just comfortable in a way that makes you want to linger with your morning coffee. I mean, an 8.2 rating doesn’t happen by accident, and after spending a few nights there, I totally get why people keep coming back. It’s the kind of place where you feel settled rather than just passing through, if that makes sense.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
