There’s this incredible pho place about three blocks down that locals line up for every morning, and the night market on Xô Viết Nghệ Tĩnh gets absolutely wild on weekends. The staff genuinely knows their neighborhood too – they pointed me toward a rooftop café that wasn’t in any guidebook but had the best coffee I’ve had in Vietnam (and trust me, that’s saying something). The building itself is well-maintained with reliable elevators and decent soundproofing, though you’ll still catch some street noise during rush hour – it’s part of the city experience, really. For families or longer stays, this feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment than doing the standard hotel shuffle, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
