Ductaigallery’s Entire Apt- Near Bui vien st
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Ductaigallery’s Entire Apt- Near Bui vien st, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name’s a bit quirky, but you know what? Sometimes the best places have the weirdest names, and this four-star spot absolutely proves that point.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without actually sleeping on top of a karaoke bar. You’re literally a two-minute walk from all the chaos of Bui Vien – I mean, you can hear the energy from the street, but once you’re inside, it’s surprisingly peaceful. The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there (in the best way possible), not like some sterile hotel room where everything’s bolted down. There’s this gallery vibe going on with local artwork on the walls, which I guess explains the “gallery” part of the name. The space is bigger than most hotel rooms you’ll find in District 1, and honestly, having a proper living area makes such a difference when you’re staying more than a couple nights.
What really sold me on this place was how the host seemed to actually know Ho Chi Minh City inside and out. They left this handwritten list of recommendations that included places I’d never heard of – and I thought I knew the area pretty well. There’s a late-night pho spot three blocks away that doesn’t even have a sign, but somehow they knew about it. The apartment comes with all the stuff you actually need (good WiFi, decent air conditioning, a kitchen if you want to grab groceries from the Ben Thanh Market), but it’s the little touches that matter. Like, there’s actually good coffee in the kitchen, not those awful instant packets most places stock. The shower has proper hot water pressure – trust me, after walking around District 1 in the humidity, you’ll appreciate that. I stayed during peak season in December, and while Bui Vien was absolutely packed every night, the apartment stayed surprisingly quiet. The building’s set back just enough from the main drag that you get the convenience without the 3am drunk tourists singing karaoke under your window. Check-in was super smooth too – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby situation. You get your own space, your own entrance, but with the reliability of a proper hotel setup. It’s sort of the best of both worlds, really.
You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.
