The location on Nguyễn Đình Chiểu in Ho Chi Minh City is actually pretty brilliant. You’re in District 1, which means you can walk to most of the main attractions, but you’re tucked away on a quieter street that doesn’t have the constant honking and chaos of the bigger thoroughfares. I mean, you’ll still hear the city — this is Saigon after all — but it’s manageable. The fact that couples rate the location so highly makes sense when you realize you can stroll to the Saigon River in about ten minutes, and there are some really good local coffee shops within a block or two.

The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious for the price point. What struck me most was how they’ve maximized the space without making it feel cramped — there’s actually room to open your suitcase without having to put it on the bed. There’s no restaurant on-site, but honestly, with the street food scene right outside your door, you don’t really need one.
