Adora Hotel
You know what struck me first about Adora Hotel? The name actually fits – there’s something genuinely charming about this place that makes you want to stick around longer than planned. I mean, it’s a four-star property, so you go in with certain expectations, but honestly, it delivers on them without feeling stuffy or overly polished.
The lobby has this warm, lived-in elegance that immediately puts you at ease – think comfortable leather seating that’s actually comfortable, not just for show, and artwork that looks like someone with real taste picked it out rather than ordering it from a hotel catalog. When I checked in, the staff genuinely seemed happy to see me (and no, I don’t think they were just well-trained – there’s a difference). The whole check-in process was smooth, which I always appreciate after a long day of travel. My room was ready early, too, which never hurts.
What really won me over was the attention to details that actually matter. The bed was properly firm – none of that squishy nonsense that leaves you feeling like you slept in quicksand. The shower had excellent water pressure (seriously, why is this so rare?), and the room was genuinely quiet at night. I’m someone who wakes up if a neighbor so much as closes a drawer too hard, but I slept solidly here. The Wi-Fi was fast enough that I could actually video call home without pixelated faces, and there were plenty of outlets near the desk area – small things that make a huge difference when you’re trying to get work done. The housekeeping staff clearly takes pride in their work too; everything felt fresh and spotless without that overwhelming chemical smell some hotels have.
Honestly, with a 7.8 rating, I was expecting something decent but not spectacular, and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to wow you with flashy amenities but instead focuses on doing the fundamentals really well. The restaurant serves solid food – nothing groundbreaking, but well-prepared classics that hit the spot after a long day. Service throughout the hotel strikes that perfect balance of being attentive without hovering. If you’re looking for a place that feels more like a well-run boutique property than a corporate chain (even if it might technically be part of a larger group), this fits the bill perfectly.
