9TRIP STAY in Soho Residence – Service Apartment
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name 9TRIP STAY in Soho Residence – Service Apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It sounds a bit corporate, doesn’t it? But after spending a few nights there, I get why they call it a service apartment rather than just a hotel. This four-star place really does feel more like having your own flat in the heart of Soho, complete with a proper kitchen and enough space to actually live rather than just crash.
The thing about staying in Soho is that you’re basically in the middle of everything – and I mean everything. You’ve got the buzzing restaurant scene literally on your doorstep, those narrow cobbled streets that tourists love photographing, and honestly, the energy is infectious. What I really appreciated about this place is how they’ve managed to give you that authentic Soho vibe without the usual compromises. You know how some places in central London can be cramped or noisy? Well, the rooms here are surprisingly spacious, and the windows actually do a decent job of keeping out the street noise (though let’s be real, if you’re staying in Soho, you probably want to be part of the action anyway).
The kitchen setup is what really sets this apart from your typical hotel stay. I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal if you want to – there’s a full-sized fridge, decent cookware, and even a washing machine tucked away. During my stay, I found myself popping down to the local markets and cooking breakfast most mornings, which honestly saved me a fortune and felt way more authentic than room service. The staff seem to understand that guests might be staying for extended periods, so they’re pretty flexible about things like extra towels or extending checkout when you need it. Check-in was smooth enough, though the building entrance is a bit tucked away – I walked past it twice before spotting the discreet signage. Once you’re inside though, everything feels well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. The WiFi actually works properly (always a concern in older London buildings), and there are plenty of power outlets, which sounds trivial until you’re trying to charge three devices at once. What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night despite being right in the thick of things – you get these lovely glimpses of Soho life through the windows, but you can actually sleep properly. I’d definitely come back, especially for longer stays when you want the freedom of your own space but don’t want to miss out on being right where everything’s happening.
